About Talon Firearms Training
Talon Firearms Training has provided License to Carry training for the South Plains region for over 10 years. Over the years, TFT expanded into Church Defense training, School Safety training, and First Responder Training. Now TFT is providing training to take you beyond the remedial LTC qualification test. Mike is a veteran educator, LTC holder, State LTC, School Safety instructor, and First Responder trainer, and safety team leader at his home congregation. Additionally, he holds NRA Basic Pistol, Personal Protection Inside the Home, Personal Protection Outside the Home instructor certifications and Range Safety Officer certification. Studying under the widely respected Tom Givens, Mike has completed the Range Master Instructor Development & Certification Course. Graduating from Gunsite Academy in Church Defense (Raven Pin recipient) provides Mike with insights to help congregations provide for a safe worship.
Mike has a zeal for self-defense carry while maintaining a belief in non-violent conflict resolution. As a husband, father, grandfather, and educator he has a loyalty to his family, friends, and students. He takes his role as a protector seriously and is eager to help you become a better protector.
